How to Prevent & Nurse a Cannabis Hangover

This article outlines some useful tips and tricks that will help you prevent and nurse a Cannabis hangover so that you can get back to doing the things you love.

1.Eat Healthy

It’s important to eat healthy before, during, and after you consume cannabis. Cannabis affects the respiratory system and engages your liver and kidney as it metabolizes cannabis. By consuming healthy foods, you’ll stabilize your blood sugar and jump-start your recovery. We know that high THC strains give users the munchies, but it’s important to channel the munchies into consuming healthy foods, this way you will wake up feeling great.

We recommend eating a meal prior to consuming cannabis that is full of complex carbs, proteins, vegetables and sugars from fruits.

 

2.Exercise

Having a healthy lifestyle is vital for avoiding cannabis hangovers. Sweating while exercising improves blood flow, cardiovascular health and breathing. Exercising before consuming Cannabis will improve blood pressure and heart rate and will expand your experience both during and after a high.

3.Stay Hydrated

It’s important to stay hydrated before, during and after consuming Cannabis. Staying hydrated keeps your body functioning at its best—which also improves your high and your come down. In addition to some good old H20, we also recommend liquids high in electrolytes like sports drinks or natural sources of electrolytes like fruits.

If you do experience a Cannabis hangover, we recommend drinking lots of water. It’s a good way to wake up your sleeping cells and get back to your high-functioning self.

4.Vitamins

If you are a regular Cannabis user and can’t live without it, we recommend taking Vitamin supplements like Vitamin C and Vitamin B-Complex. Taking these vitamins before and after consumption will also help offset a Cannabis hangover.

5.Get Fresh Air

Getting fresh air helps clear the mind and gives your body fresh oxygen to inhale and replenish the body with.
